The loan amount is typically 50-70% of the value of your pledged shares / mutual fund units, depending on the type of shares / mutual funds (equity or debt).
The interest rate is highly competitive, starting from 12% per annum, subject to market conditions and the borrower’s profile.
A nominal processing fee is applicable, generally ranging from 1% - 3% of the loan amount.
The tenure for a Loan Against Securities can vary, typically ranging from 1 to 2 years, with the flexibility to repay early.

A margin call may be issued if the value of the mutual fund units falls below a certain threshold. In such cases, the borrower may need to pledge additional units or repay a portion of the loan.
Repayment can be made through Equated Monthly Installments (EMIs) or as a bullet repayment at the end of the tenure, depending on the agreed loan structure.
